Custom Reference Level
Set a custom depth (like your boat's draft or a bridge clearance). The chart will show crossing windows. Leave blank to disable.
The reference level draws a horizontal line on the tide chart. AlaskaTides highlights the times when the tide is deeper than this level, so you can quickly see safe passage windows.
Good examples:
- Boat draft + safety margin (for clearing sandbars or shallow channels).
- Bridge clearance depth you need under your keel.
- A favorite fishing depth where current is manageable.
Positive numbers are above MLLW (higher water). Negative numbers are below MLLW. Change the value any time; the home chart updates the shaded crossing band and window times automatically.
